Tyler Lundblade (Belmont): As a graduate transfer, Lundblade had the luxury of settling his plans before the portal officially opened. The Vols announced on April 4 that they had signed Lundblade, the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year last season at Belmont. Lundblade, who is entering his sixth year, contributed 15.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in a league-high 34.3 minutes per game for the Bruins. Our SEC Insider Chris Dortch was all over this, by the way.
Troy Henderson: If a player on your roster enters the portal, then changes his mind and comes back, does it count as an addition? We say yes for the purposes of this tracker. Henderson announced Wednesday on Instagram that he had decided to stick with the Vols. He appeared in 28 games as a true freshman for the Vols, averaging 1.8 points and 1.1 assists while shooting 34% from 3-point range.
Dai Dai Ames: A 6-2 combo guard, Ames (16.9 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 31.8 mpg, .464 FG, .376 3PT, .850 FT) committed to the Vols on April 11. Tennessee makes the fourth school in as many years for Ames, who started his career at Kansas State, then played 2024-25 at Virginia, and transferred to Cal last season after the coaching change in Charlottesville.
Miles Rubin: The Vols officially announced the arrival of Rubin on April 12. At 6-10 and 220 pounds, Rubin (11.3 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 2.3 bpg, 2.3 apg, 29.7 mpg, .585 FG) has the size to help replenish the ranks in the frontcourt. Rubin arrives from Loyola Chicago, where he was a two-time selection to the Atlantic 10 all-defensive team and has ranked in the top 20 nationally in block percentage in each of the past three seasons. This will be Rubin’s final year of eligibility.

OUT

Bishop Boswell: Committed to Maryland on April 15. The rising 6-2 junior Boswell announced his intent to go into the portal on April 6 after capping a season where he averaged 6.2 points, shooting 42.7% from the field and 38.5% from 3. Boswell is a North Carolina native, so speculation was that he would follow now-former Tennessee assistant Justin Gainey to his new gig as head coach at NC State, but instead Boswell signed on for Buzz Williams and the Terrapins.
Jaylen Carey: Committed to Missouri on April 13. The 6-8 Carey is headed to his fourth school in as many years. He started at James Madison, followed coach Mark Byington to Nashville when he got the job at Vanderbilt, then played for the Vols in 2025-26. Carey played in 37 games, made eight starts, and averaged 7.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in his lone season in Knoxville.
J.P. Estrella: Committed to Michigan on April 9. Probably the biggest surprise of the Vols’ portal exists was the 6-11 Estrella, who leaves with two years’ eligibility. Estrella had the best season of his career statistically, averaging 10.0 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting nearly 60% from the floor.
Amari Evans: Committed to Texas on April 17. Evans, who has three years’ remaining eligibility, averaged 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 14.4 minutes per game, primarily coming off of the bench.
Clarence Massamba: The 6-5 Massamba played a bit role for the Vols in 2025-26, making 12 appearances that totaled 39 minutes and scored four points.
Cade Phillips: Committed to Texas A&M on April 16. Shoulder surgery shut down Phillips, a 6-9 junior, 10 games into the 2025-26 season.

ETSU

IN

BJ Ward (SEMO): The Bucs added Ward, a 6-0 senior, on April 14. Ward (10.9 ppg, 3.7 apg, 2.1 rpg, 30.2 mpg, .389 FG, .350 3PT, .810 FT) brings a veteran presence in the backcourt for the Bucs as a two-year starter for the RedHawks who appeared in 95 games across his three seasons at SEMO. Ward was named second-team all-conference in the Ohio Valley Conference after leading his team in assists and ranking second on the squad in scoring.

OUT

Blake Barkley: Committed to Grand Canyon on April 16. The third-team All-Southern Conference big man Barkley announced on March 31 that he intended to enter the portal. Barkley made 32 starts, averaging 14.6 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting almost 60% from the floor.
Henry Sisemore: The 6-8 Sisemore appeared in four games off the bench as a freshman.
Gabe Sisk: The 6-5 Sisk came off the bench for the vast majority of his three years at ETSU and has one year of eligibility left. He averaged 3.4 points and 10.0 minutes last season, and 3.7 points and 12.0 rebounds for his Bucs career.
Jaylen Smith: The 5-11 Smith averaged 9.1 points and 2.6 rebounds while primarily coming off the bench as a junior at ETSU — his lone season with the Bucs.
Isaiah Sutherland: The 6-7 Sutherland made 20 appearances off the bench in his lone season at ETSU, averaging 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds.
Brian Taylor II: Taylor was a senior for the Bucs in 2025-26 but he’s gone into the portal with the hopes the NCAA adopts the proposed hard five-year rule for eligibility. That would give Taylor one more season.
Frederico Whitaker, Jr.: The 5-11 Whitaker transfers from ETSU without appearing in a game; he redshirted this season, and will have all four years of eligibility wherever he goes next.

LOCALS

Dante Oliver: Oliver went into the portal with two years’ eligibility left. He played for Dobyns-Bennett in 2022-23 while his dad, Dez Oliver, was head coach of the ETSU men. Oliver averaged 2.5 points and 1.4 rebounds this past season at North Florida in 31 appearances off the bench.

WOMEN
Tennessee

IN

Avery Mills (Liberty): The total rebuild of the Lady Vol roster began on April 8 with the news that the 5-9 Mills (15.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 2.2 apg, 30.5 mpg, .429 FG, .427 3PT, .851 FT) was headed to Knoxville. Mills was a first-team All-Conference USA selection last season at Liberty, leading that league in 3s made per game (3.2) and 3-point accuracy, ranking fourth in scoring, and in the top 20 nationally in 3-point percentage. Her 82 made 3-pointers set a Flames single-season record.  Mills has two years’ eligibility remaining.
Naomi White (Northern Arizona): The 5-9 White was freshman of the year in the Big Sky Conference last season, averaging 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.9 steals. Also first-team all-league, White led all Division I freshmen in scoring and ranked 15th among all players in the nation. She arrives in Knoxville with three years’ eligibility remaining.
Harper Peterson (Stanford): The 6-3 Peterson is headed for Knoxville after two seasons with the Cardinal. Peterson played a small role for Stanford in 2025-26, appearing in 10 games off the bench and compiling a 1.1-point scoring average.
Zhen Craft (Georgia): The 6-2 Craft arrives with three years’ eligibility to go after averaging 5.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assist in her lone season at Georgia.
Rylie Theuerkauf (Georgia): A 5-9 senior, Theuerkauf follows Craft from Athens to Knoxville. She’s a good shooter who hit at a 42% rate from the field and roughly 40% from 3 while pouring in 11.9 points per game. This is the third collegiate stop for Theuerkauf, a New Jersey native who began her career at Wake Forest.
