Prep Athlete of the Week: Claire Marshall

Daniel Boone has produced probably the best story of the high school girls soccer season in Northeast Tennessee.

A big part of that hinges upon the defense. And, a good goal keeper is a cornerstone of that defense.

Claire Marshall posted back-to-back clean sheets against West Ridge and Dobyns-Bennett during the week of Sept. 7-13. Not only that, it was part of a run of seven consecutive clean sheets for Marshall and the Lady Trailblazers.

Yeah, that’s good enough. And that’s why Marshall is the I-81 Sports and Tricitiessports Prep Athlete of the Week.
