Spoiler alert: Kiantai Harris is really good at running the football.
The junior back at Science Hill has burst onto the scene this season, most notably when he ran wild for 367 yards in a 49-28 win over Morristown West. That was good enough to set a new program single-season rushing record. The previous mark, was set in 1988 by Gary Adams.
Yeah, that’s good enough. It’s why, for the week of Aug. 24-30, Harris is the I-81 Sports and Tricitiessports Prep Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Uptown Cheesesteak Company.
Harris keeps piling up the yards, and the touchdowns. Through three games, Harris has 58 carries for 710 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran a kickoff back 94 yards to the house last week in a victory against Tennessee High.

We also did a short interview, but had technical difficulties with the sound. Like we did with our first award winner, though, we asked Kiantai if pineapple belonged on pizza.
A hard no.
