We hit another high risk play yesterday, putting us up 12.1 units in that category and 10.64 units to the good overall. Let’s try and keep it rolling today as the round of 16 continues.
BRAZIL VS NORWAY (4 PM)
Intriguing matchup for the round of 16, as we get the bluest of bloods in Brazil matched up against the sweetheart of this competition in Norway. Everyone’s heart will be telling them to take Norway. The brutal reality is Brazil is just simply better. A Norway win would really feel like a changing of the guard for Brazil and we’re not at that point. Not yet.
- Low risk parlay toss in: Brazil to advance (-235)
- Average risk parlay: Over 2.5 goals total AND Norway under 2.5 team total goals (+105)
- High risk play: Brazil to win 2-0 or 2-1 (+340)
MEXICO VS ENGLAND (8 PM)
This section of the bracket played out exactly the way we imagined it and we get the spot for Mexico we wanted all along. The sad part is the price is nowhere near what we had hoped for. Mexico is only +105 to advance over England, which has been in the top four or five in the Sportsbook odds to win the entire competition. The English will have their hands full with El Tri and are playing a true road game. Tread carefully on the Three Lions. Still, I expect a very tight, close game that more than likely ends with extra time and possibly penalties.
- Low risk parlay toss ins: Mexico +1.5 AND game under 4.5 goals (-450)
- Average risk parlay: Game under 2.5 goals AND under 10.5 corners (-110)
- High risk play: 3 way moneyline DRAW AND under 2.5 goals (+250)
Record
Low risk: 71-19
Average risk: 45-45 (minus 1.46 units)
High risk: 28-61 (plus 12.1 units)
Overall: Plus 10.64 units
